Betty Yvonne Wilson Schawl
Betty Yvonne (Wilson) Schawl, 53, of RD 7, Kittanning, Pa., died at 9:30 a.m.
Sunday, September 28, 1980 in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
Born March 11, 1927 in Worthington, Pa., she was the daughter of Raymond and
Violet (Smith) Wilson.
She attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
She was a member of the Worthington Evangelical Lutheran Church and Lady Craig
Rebekah Lodge No 8 in Worthington.
She is survived by her husband, George E. Schawl; three sons, George R. Schawl
of Natrona Heights, Pa., and James P. Schawl and Dennis Schawl, both at home;
two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Amy) Raymer and Mrs. Leroy (Becky) Uplinger, both of
RD 7, Kittanning, Pa.; two brothers, Philip E. Wilson of Butler, Pa., and Steven
R. Wilson of RD 4, Kittanning; three sisters, Mrs. William (Juanita "Jean")
Bowser and Mrs. Michael (Joyce Ann) Yaroschak, both of Worthington, and Mrs.
Lewis (Willena "Jane") Karns of West Kittanning, Pa.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Janet Wilson and two infant sisters;
and one grandson.
Friends of Betty Yvonne (Wilson) Schawl, 53, of RD 7, Kittanning, Pa., who died
Sunday, September 28, 1980, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the
James A. Flick Funeral Home, Worthington, where services will be held at 1 p.m.
Tuesday, September 30, 1980, with the Rev. Thomas Bertolina, pastor of St.
Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kittanning, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery, Worthington,
Pa.
