Alton Leroy Shearer
Alton Leroy Shearer, age 44, of Tonawanda, New York, formerly of Worthington,
died early this morning, January 2, 1971.
He was born September 18, 1926, son of the late Albert Hepler Shearer and Bessie
Alice (Ruffaner) Shearer.
He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, PA.
He was a machinist for Chevrolet and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Albert "Bessie" Shearer of Worthington, his
wife, Mae (Moore) Shearer, a former Pittsburgh resident, one daughter, Mrs.
Donna Brewton, living in the state of Washington, two sons, Bruce and Tommy,
both at home, four brothers, John of Marietta, Georgia, Albert of Kittanning,
Robert of Worthington and Richard of Washington, PA; five sisters, Mrs. Annabel
Bouch of Adrian, Mrs. Ethel Nichol, Mrs. Melda Bricker and Mrs. Eyvette Fair,
all of Worthington and Mrs. Doris Cowan of Kittanning.
Two brothers, Kenneth and Vernon Shearer preceded Mr. Shearer in death.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
