Frank Ralston Hogg

Frank Ralston Hogg, 90, of North BuffaloTwp. died Thursday, January 25, 2018, at
his residence.

He was born October 11, 1927, in Worthington, son of Hamilton Smith and
Bertha(Bundy) Hogg.

He was a 1945 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. 

Frank was a member of the Appleby Manor Church where he was an elder and was a
member of Masonic Lodge #244. 

He was a man with a very strong faith who was loving, generous, honest and
patriotic. He loved the outdoors and riding his 4 wheeler on his farm. Hunting
and fishing were very important to him. 

He was the last surviving member of the Hamilton Smith Hogg family. He was a
very avid Penn State Football fan.

He was a veteran of WW 2 where he served in the Navy. He was formerly employed
at PPG Ind of Ford City, Black, and Yount of Manorville and Pullman Standard of
Butler.

Surviving are one son, Richard H. (Rosalie) Hogg of Kittanning, two daughters,
Jessie Jo (Lloyd) Schaeffer of Panama City Beach, FL, and Sally Lynn (David)
Mathers ofGreat Falls, MT, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 5 step
great-grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Martha E. Hogg, brothers,
Chuck, Clarence, Jim and Don Hogg and sisters, Jean Gift, Irene Gates and Betty
Hammond.

Friends will be welcomed at the Welch Funeral Home, Ford City, Monday, January
29, 2018, from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm & 7:00 pm-9:00 pm and on Tuesday, January 30,
2018 from 10:00 am-11:00 am at the Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church with
services starting at 11:00 am with the Rev. Gary Lyon officiating.

A Masonic service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 6:45 pm. 

Interment will follow in the Ford City Cemetery, Ford City, Pa
