Harold Dean Cooper

Harold Dean Cooper, 85, of Kittanning, passed on to be with the Lord on Monday,
December 24, 2012, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 1, 1927, in West Franklin Township, son of the late Orion E.
and Ethel M. (Lewis) Cooper. 

He retired from Branser Tire, in Mesa, Ariz., where he resided for 25 years, and
was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, in Kittanning, where he was a former
Trustee and choir member, a member of Worthington American Legion, and a 1945
graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School. He liked playing the organ,
hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Jean (Schaub) Cooper; son, Allan Lee
Cooper and wife, Sharleen, of Worthington; daughter, Lana Levone (Cooper)
Preisach and husband, Karl, of Fort Mill, S.C.; grandchildren, Steven Dean
Cooper and wife, Rebecca, Matthew Thomas Cooper, Kurt Philip Preisach and Erich
Thomas Preisach; great-grandson, Gavin Michael Cooper; great-granddaughter,
Alexa Masserini; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Lewis
(Lucille) Cooper, James Lovel (Dot) Cooper and Clyde L. Cooper; sisters, Lucie
I. Cooper, Norma Marie (Ivan) Bowser, Mary Lou (John) Beattie; and one nephew.

Per Dean's request, the funeral services will be private.
