Willard Raymond Sliker

Willard Raymond Sliker, 75, of Butler died Friday, July 5, 2002 at Butler
Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 16, 1926 in Reesedale to Orie and Evelyn (Harkless)
Sliker.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

Mr. Sliker worked as foreman of the millwrights at Pullman Standard before its
closing, and before that he was a heavy equipment operator.

A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Sliker was also a member of Butler Lodge No. 272 F. &
A.M, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle and a former member
of Syria Shrine of Pittsburgh.

He enjoyed hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Della Irene (Simmers) Sliker; a son, Van A. Sliker
of Decatur, TX; two daughters, Victoria Sliker of Butler and Kathi Sliker of
Prospect; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Floyd.

Friends of Willard R. Sliker, 75, of Butler, who died Friday, July 5, 2002 will
be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral
Home, Inc., Butler, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with
the Rev. Dennis Molnar officiating. 

Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates , Worthington, Pa.
