Grace Elizabeth Painter Henry Blackenship Ely Crawford Hummell

Grace Elizabeth Painter Henry Blackenship Ely Crawford Hummell, 80, of Columbus,
went to be with the Lord Friday, August 25, 2006,  at St. Ann's Hospital, after
a long illness.

She was born October 11, 1925, in Worthington, Pa., daughter of the late Bud
Painter and Hazel V. (Bowser) Kruse.

She attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

She was the last of her generation, preceded in death by four of her children
and one grandchild.

Surviving are her husband (of 11 years), Roger L. Hummell; her sons, Richard
(Debbie) Ely, Thomas Blankenship and Dan (Yunette) Ely, all of Columbus, John
(Teri) Ely of Butler Pa.; adopted son, Angel of Columbus and (step-son) Roger
(Kathy) Hummell Jr. of Reynoldsburg; six grandchildren, Deon, Daniel, Michelle,
Joshua, Ben and Elisha Ely; six great-granddaughters.

Grace was an ordained minister, member of David Evangelical Lutheran Church of
Canal Winchester, fashion model for Lorraine Edgar Modeling Agency of Columbus,
Ohio, co-founder and principal of Sherwood Elite Retirement Village, Court of
Grace (an Alzheimer's Social Research Facility), The Butler Bazaar and The
Premier Center Mini Malls and she was presently a Regional Director of the
Veteran's Outreach, Inc. of Ohio.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Carlson
Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route
303), Brunswick, with Pastor Wayne Booth, officiating.
