James Maxwell Hesselgesser III

James Maxwell "Max" Hesselgesser 3rd, 80, of Jamison, Pa., formerly a resident
of Horsham Township, Pa., for 48 years, died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at
Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, Pa.

Born September 22, 1926 in St. Petersburg, Fla., the son of James Maxwell and
Florine (Clarin) Hesselgesser.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

He graduated from Berea College, Berea, Ky., and spent his early professional
career in chemical engineering and later in the sales of medical equipment.
Among other inventions, he designed and developed the Bioguard Safety Cabinet
used in hospital and animal research.

Max was an avid gardener and fisherman, and a lifelong Mason and Shrine

Max is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 29 years, Margery (Steel)
Hesselgesser.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, James M. Hesselgesser IV of Egg
Harbor Township, New Jersey., a stepson, Andrew J. Esham of Seattle, Wash., and
stepdaughters Joan S. Esham of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Patricia A. Bradbury of
Pipersville, Pa.

At Max's request arrangements will be private.

Children, 3551 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19140.
