William Byron Lewis

William "Barney" Byron Lewis, 64, Greenfield, Ind., died Saturday, June 15, 1991
at his residence.

Born February 24, 1927, in Craigsville, Pa., he was the son of the late Warren
Henderson Lewis and Leone B. (Bush) Lewis.

He was a 1944 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

Mr. Lewis was a World War II U.S. Army, and Merchant Marine veteran.

He retired in 1989 after 26 years in the industrial engineering department at
Eli Lilly Co., Indianapolis, Ind.

Mr. Lewis was a member of Mohawk United Methodist Church and Riley Wrangler's
Square Dancing Club.

On April 17, 1982, he married Aileen (Shaffer) Lewis, who survives.

Other survivors include; two sons, David Lewis, Carmel, Md., and Gerald "Jerry"
E. Lewis, Shippensburg, Pa.; four daughters, Susan M. Molitor, Greenwood, Ind.,
Julie R. Ellison, Middletown, Md., and LuAnn Harper and Terri K. Hallman both of
Indianapolis, Ind.; brother K. Dale Lewis, Worthington, Pa.; sister Mabel R.
McGinty, Ft. Myers, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren.

Friends of William "Barney" Byron Lewis, 84, of Greenfield, Ind., who died
Saturday, June 15, 1991, will be received from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 17,
1991, at Pasco Mortuary, Greenfield, Ind., where funeral services will be held
Tuesday, June 18, 1991, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.Tom Brooks and Rev. Mark Suiter
officiating.

Burial will follow in Park Cemetery, Greenfield, In.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Mohawk United
Methodist Church Building Fund, Greenfield, 2045 W 400 N. Greenfield, Ind.
