Deloris Mae Claypoole Conoran Haas

Deloris May (Claypool) Conoran-Haas, 85, of Worthington, died Sunday, March 10,
2013, at Armstrong County Health Center. 

She was born May 11, 1927, at home in Worthington, a daughter of the late
Clarence "Rippy" Claypool and Zelda (Cloak) Claypool. 

She returned to Pennsylvania in 1966. She worked at Aluminum Ladder during high
school and worked as a waitress at Clark's Restaurant, where she met her first
husband, Ed. 

She was a co-owner of Marshall's Hotel and Cabins in The Forks, Maine, worked at
Western Auto in Butler and worked at Myers Keystone store in Adrian. Deloris
also traveled and worked with her second husband, Larry, to many states and to
the Middle East. She was the assistant night manager at HAVIN. 

She graduated from Worthington High School in 1944. She was a member of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Worthington, where she was a youth group leader,
GME trip chaperone, part of the altar guild and in the choir. She was called the
flower lady because she ordered the flowers for the church what seemed like
forever. She belonged to the Rebecca Craig Lodge and was a Worthington West
Franklin Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary member. She was the number
one Steelers and Penguins fan. She also still raised the Jolly Roger for the
Pirates. She loved to watch Nascar races, during which time phone line to
"Toots" was on fire. 

Survivors include her son, David B. (Linda) Conoran, of Worthington; sister,
Eileen Hawk of Clearwater, FL., stepdaughters, Kay "Bunny" Marker, of Bemis
Point, NY., and Judy (Pete) Duenas, of Sebastopub, Calif.; grandchildren, Bill
Ryan, of Indiana, Linda Ryan, of Indiana, Rick (Lisa) Ryan, of Penn Run, Raegan
(Mark) Camuso, of Harrisburg, Jennifer (Terry) Humble, of Punxsutawney, Brian
(Dawn) Ryan, of Josephine, and David (Patty) Conoran Jr., of Hamilton; 20
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband,
Edward Conoran; second husband, Loren Haas; granddaughters, Stacy Conoran and
Shelly Conoran-Rearich; brother, Eugene Claypool; sister, Ann "Toot" Myers; and
son-in-law, Jerry Marker. 

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Friday in the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME in Worthington. Services will be
held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Worthington with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the
service at the church. The Rev. Lawrence Camberg, her church pastor, will
officiate. 

Interment in Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa. 

Since Dee was a "rabid" reader, it is the family's wish that donations be made,
in lieu of flowers, to the Worthington West Franklin Community Library, 214 E.
Main St., Worthington, PA 16262.
