Leon Frank Irwin Porter 

Leon Frank "Bud" Irwin Porter, 84, of Hastings, Fla., formerly of Worthington,
died Monday, July 7, 2008, in Florida. 

He was born November 7, 1923, in Reesdale, a son of the late Ernest and Estelle
(Heasley) Irwin, who later married Clarence Faye Porter.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa. 

He was a retired millwright for the Babcock Willcox Company in Beaver Falls and
a veteran of 101 Infantry, 26th Division. 

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hastings. 

Survivors include his wife, Emma (Hankey) Irwin; daughters, Connie Denes,
Jaqueline Limage and Pamela Gallatin, all of St. Augustine, Fla., Karen
Clarkson, of Hastings, and Sylvia Lambert, of Enon Valley; 13 grandchildren; 10
great-grandchildren; three great-great-granddaughters; and half-brothers,
Clarence, Wiliam and Wayne Porter. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie M.
Irwin; great-granddaughter, Taylor Marie Gallatin; half-brother, Ralph Porter;
and sister, Pauline Benton. 

Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
Saturday in the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington, with the Rev.
Jonathan Speck, of Worthington Presbyterian Church, officiating. 

Interment will be in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.

Flowers are graciously declined. However, donations to Homeport Christian Church

Fox Parkinson's Foundation will be appreciated.
