Harland Arthur Peat

Harland Arthur Peat, 71, of South Jefferson Street, Kittanning, Pa., died
Thursday, April 13, 1995 at his residence.

He was born February 20, 1924 in Worthington, Pa. to Oran R. and Faye E.
(Guthrie) Peat.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

Mr. Peat was employed by both Schenley Distillery, Leechburg, Pa. and Pullman
Standand, Butler, Pa.

He was a Protestant and a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Allan (Barbara) Smith of Ford City, Pa.,
and Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Kline of Kittanning; 10 grandchildren; one
great-grandchild; three brothers, Chalmer D. Peat of Kittanning, James Joseph
Peat and Thomas L. Peat both of Worthington; two sisters, Jean M. Leech of
Fenelton, Pa., and Mrs. Chauncey Y. (Janet Marlene) Hooks of Fla; and a good
friend, Laura Brocius of Kittanning.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Peggy J. (Hidinger) Peat, who
died in 1988; and three brothers, Richard W. Peat, Edwin F. Peat and Robert
Peat.

Friends of Harland A. Peat, 71, of South Jefferson Street, Kittanning, Pa., who
died Thursday, April 13, 1995, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Inc., 200 S.
McKean St., Kittanning, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday
with the Rev. Wayne Cleary, pastor of the Ford Memorial United Methodist Church,
Ford City, officiating.

Interment will take place in the Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
