Helen Louise Jones Hershberger

Helen Louise Jones Hershberger, 91, of Ford City died Thursday, March 23, 2017,
at Erdley's Personal Care Home, which is now Heritage Meadows.  

She was born on September 10, 1925, in Craigsville to the late Arthur 'Casey'
and Jessie Mae (Hellam) Jones.  

Helen was a homemaker and a 1943 graduate of Worthington High School,
Worthington, Pa.  

She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manorville. 

She formerly volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Kittanning and in her church
groups.  

Helen liked jigsaw puzzles, circle word books, growing house plants, and
watching her grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her family.  

Survivors include daughters, Roxann (Cliff) Chestnut of Kittanning and Amy
(John) Williamson of Templeton; sons, Gregg (Pamela) Hershberger of Washington,
Pa. and Scott (Karen) Hershberger of Ford City; grandchildren, Matt Williamson,
Jerod Williamson, Chad Hershberger, Daniel Hershberger, and Seth Hershberger;
great-grandchildren, Riley, Laren, Gwen, Grace, Ava, Landen, Nixon, and Estella;
sister-in-law, Florence Henry of Lewiston, Idaho; brother-in-law, Robert Lasher
of Kittanning; and several nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl E. Hershberger; one
sister, Margaret Lasher; two brothers and their wives, Walter Jones and wife,
Gaylene, and Roy Jones and wife, Karen.  

Friends will be received from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral
Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional viewing will be held from 10
a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, with
the Rev. Jack Delk officiating. 

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington, Pa. 

Memorial contributions may be made in Helen's honor to the Grace Lutheran Church
or a charity of one's choice.
