William Joseph Edwards
William Joseph Edwards, 66, of Route 7, Boaz, Ala., died Friday, April 26, 1991,
at Boaz-Albertville Medical Center, Boaz, Ala.
He was born April 15, 1925, in Worthington, a son of the late William Wesley and
Margaret "Hazel" LaStrange (Shearer) Edwards.
He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
He retired from the U.S. Navy having served 20 years active duty and 10 years in
the Naval Reserves. He attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
Survivors include one son, Michael Jerome Edwards of Massachusetts; two
daughters, Deborah Ann Edwards and Melissa Edwards, both of Florida.
He is also survived by one brother, Paul Francis (Cecilia M. (Olszak) Edwards of
Fenelton, Pa., and three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Lewis (William F.) of Boaz,
Joanne Marie (Ronald G.) Crawford of Warren, Ohio and Theresa Kathleen (Robert
Charles "Chuck") Hodak of Worthington, Pa.; a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Hazel Edwards.
Services will be at Arlington Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
