Dorothy Irene Crawford Budd
Dorothy Irene (Crawford) Budd, 66, a resident of 40 W. Van Buren St., Oswego,
New York, died Saturday morning, December 14, 1991 in Oswego Hospital after a
long illness.
Born April 3, 1925, in Worthington, Pa., Armstrong County, a daughter of Calvin
Ambrose Crawford and Beulah A. (Shakley) Crawford.
She attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
She resided most of her adult life in Oswego. She retired from the housekeeping
staff at SUNY-Oswego.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas R. Budd, Sr.; her mother, Beulah A. Emery
of Petrolia, Pa.; two sons, Thomas R. Budd, Jr. of Pierrepoint Manor, New York
and Gary L. Budd of Minetto, New York; three daughters, Linda O'Neil, Judith A.
Sweeting and Susan Budd, all of Oswego; two brothers, Richard Calvin (Mary)
Crawford of Kittanning, Pa., and Robert Frank (Marie) Crawford of Worthington,
Pa.; five sisters, Betty Lue (John) Mularchic of Butler, Pa., K. Louise (Louis
J.) Giff, Donna June (Richard W.) Smith, Mona Jean (Lester E.) Smith and
Patricia Lee Smith all of Worthington, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father; a son, Charles C. Budd; and an infant
sister, Vivian Crawford.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 1991 at
the Darn-Cullinan Funeral Home, Inc., 112 E. Second St., Oswego, New York.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the
Rev. James Bruinsman officiating.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Oswego, NY.
Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes
Foundation.
