Dorothy Irene Bargerstock Seyfert

Dorothy Irene (Bargerstock) Seyfert, 65, of Thornton, Pa., died December 25,
1990 at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media, Pa.
 
She was born May 30, 1925, in Craigsville, Pa., the daughter of Mark Monroe.
and
Margaret Lulu (Kennedy) Bargerstock.
 
She was the valedictorian graduating with the class of 1943 from
Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa. (Armstrong Co.)
 
She attended Temple University Medical School, Philadelphia, Pa. and became a
medical technician. She was employed by Chester Hospital, Chester, Pa. for
several years in this field. During her employment with Chester Hospital, she
was under the direction of, William N. Campbell, M.D.
 
She became a legal secretary and worked for many years in the office of her
husband, Attorney Franklin J. Seyfert, of Media, Pa.
 
A resident of Thornton, Pa., for the past 2 1/2 years, she lived previously for
29 years in Concord Township, Concord, Pa.
 
An avid boater she was past president of the ladies auxiliary of Harbor North
Yacht Club, Chesapeake City, Md.
 
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters: Susan M. Erney of
Bowmansville, Pa., and Lisa A. Seyfert of Thornton; one son: Franklin J.
Seyfert, Jr. of Thornton; and one granddaughter. She is also survived by her
father, Mark  M. Bargerstock of Worthington, Pa.; two sisters Effie Emmaline
Gilmore of Onset, Mass., Yvonne Kathryn Swartzlander of Hammondsville, Ohio and
her mother in law, Helen I. Seyfert of Thornton.
 
She was the mother of the late Sandra D. Seyfert McCall who died in an
automobile accident in 1988.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 29, 1990 at 11:00 a.m. in the Elam
United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge Rd., Glen Mills, Pa. Friends may call
at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Interment in Glenmoore Methodist Cemetery, Glenmoore, Pa.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society would
be appreciated.
