Shirley Lavonne Bundy Gairin
Shirley LaVonne Bundy Gairin of Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona passed away
Novmeber 22, 1994
She was born August 9, 1924, the daughter of Simon and Dorothy Ione (Dodd)
Bundy.
She attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
She married Russell Louis Gairin in 1940 in Hancock, WV.
She was a homemaker with a great eye for decoration and design, a lifelong
Lutheran, a volunteer for a local charity, Boys Ranch, and a member of the
Eastern Star.
As a teenager she was a singer with her uncle's big band and remained a
songtress and a lover of music and dancing. She was a member of a bowling
league and various bridge clubs and an avid reader.
She is survived by her three daughters Antoinette Hernandez, Marty Lyn Osman and
Sammie Gairin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell
Louis Gairin, April 19, 1992 and stepfather Samuel Keller, June, 1965.
The combined ashes of Shirley and her husband, Russell were scattered in Maui
and Molokai, Hawaii on the Ritz Carlton golf course, as both were avid golfers,
and in the ocean waves and beach on Molokai.
