Agnes Elvara Hill Dickey Swank

Agnes Elvara (Hill) Dickey Swank, 87, Punxsutawney, Pa., died Thursday, August
12, 2010, in Punxsutawney.

She was born April 2, 1923, in Kittanning, Pa. a daughter of the late Lewis
Palmer and Lottie Pearl (Simpson) Hill.

Mrs. Swank attended Worthington High School and received a bookkeeping
certification from DuBois Business College in 1967.

August 12, 1945, she married Edward Francis Dickey, who preceded her in death.
April 2, 1988, she married Howard Everett Swank, who also preceded her in
death.

Mrs. Swank was employed as a bookkeeper and was a charter member of the
Punxsutawney Eagles Auxiliary.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Jacqueline S. Ananea of Punxsutawney;
three sons, Francis Edward Dickey and wife Krystal of Valparaiso, Ind., Van
Louis Dickey of Griffith, Ind., and David B. Dickey of Honolulu, Hawaii; 12
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by five
brothers, Henry, Thomas, Chambers, Dent and Ford Hill; four sisters, Clara
Goldinger, Sarah Hill, Ruth Gray and Maria Goldinger; a son, Vincent Lewis
Dickey; and a grandson, Francis Pearch Jr.

Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at the
Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.  A funeral service will be held at 2
p.m. 
Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at the funeral home with the Rev. Fr. Theodore J. Rematt
officiating.

Interment will be in Union Church Cemetery, Rossiter, Pa.
