Mildred Laverne Kutsch Uptegraph
Mildred Laverne "Millie" Kutsch Uptegraph, 88, of Salem, died on Monday,
December 26, 2011, in Charlotte, N.C.
Born August 28, 1923, in Kittanning, Pa., she was the daughter of the late
Robert and Nora (Corbett) Kutsch.
She was a 1942 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa
Mrs. Uptegraph babysat for many Salem families. She also was employed at the
Town Hall Diner and The Coffee Cup and retired from the Sebring Container Corp.
She attended Southeast Friends Church.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Uptegraph of Charlotte, N.C., and Norman
(Shirley) Uptegraph of Salem; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Uptegraph; and her companion
of 35 years, Alfred (Roundy) Atkinson.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Southeast
Friends Church with Pastors Lou Raymond and Bill Williamson officiating.
Interment in Garden View Cemetery, Salem, Oh.
