Arbutus Jean Anthony Hellam
Arbutus Jean "Bea" Anthony Hellam, age 88, of Mechanicsburg, went peacefully to
be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 22, 2011, at Carlisle
Regional Medical Center.
She was born on August 16, 1923, in Craigsville, PA. She was the daughter of
the late Richard Anthony and Minnie Etta (Smith) Anthony.
She was a 1942 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa
Bea's greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and
greatgrandchildren. The menory of Bea's beautiful warm smile and her gift of
laughter will be treasured by all whose lives were touched by hers.
Left behind to carry her faith, values and love are her son, Alan L. Hellam and
wife, Kathy; daughter, Deb N. Sheaffer and companion, Lee Shipman, all of
Mechanicsburg: her brother, Barye Anthony of Worthington, PA; seven
grandchildren, Jill Nelson, Jennie Middlekauff, Bryan Hellam, Kelly Hellam
Beane, David Hellam, Kevin Hellam, and Michael Hellam; and six
greatgrandchildren, Tyler Middlekauff, Emily Middlekauff, Jace Nelson, Dylan
Hellam, Kyle Hellam and Jaysen Hellam. She was anxiously awaiting the birth of
her seventh greatgrandchild in October.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, George T. "Ted" Hellam, who she
missed dearly.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., October 9, 2011 at Malpezzi Funeral
Home, Mechanicsburg, with Reverend Chester P. Snyder officiating.
