Lillian Irene Bowser Shay
Lillian Irene (Bowser) Shay, 76, of Fenelton, Pa. died Sunday, November 1, 1998
at Sugar Creek Rest, Worthington, Pa.
Born July 24, 1922 in Washington Township (Armstrong County), the daughter of
Jacob and Marietta (Hilliard) Bowser.
She attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
Mrs. Shay was a homemaker and a member of the McKee United Methodist Chapel,
Fenelton.
She is survived by two sons, Gary L. Shay and Ronald Edgar Shay, both of
Fenelton, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. Vicki Bembens of Kittanning, Pa.; a brother,
Andrew Bowser of Butler, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and
two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Shay, who died in 1992. She also
was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, three brothers and a sister.
Friends of Lillian Irene (Bowser) Shay, who died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, will be
received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at F. Duane
Snyder Funeral Home, Worthington, Pa. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday
at the funeral home with the Rev. Sharon Schwab, pastor of McKee Chapel,
Fenelton, Pa., officiating.
Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
