Leona Catherine Shearer Claypool
Leona Catherine (Shearer) Claypool, 73, of Warsaw, Indiana, formerly of
Worthington, Pa., died Monday, February 26, 1996 at her residence.
She was born, June 18, 1922, in Dime (Parks Township, Armstrong County), Pa., to
Daniel and Sarah Eva (Heckman) Shearer.
She was a 1941 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
Mrs. Claypool is survived by her husband, Leonard Mervin Claypool; two sons,
Kenneth M. (Nancy C.) Claypool of Washington, Illinois, and Harvey L. (Joyce A.)
Claypool of Emerson, Neb.; two daughters, Martha K. (Roger E.) Roeske of
Lucerne, Ind., and Esther R. (Stephen G.) Lawlor of Warsaw, Ind.; 14
grandchildren, Bruce (Sue) Claypool, Douglas A. (Amanda L.) Claypool, Craig
(Sheila R.) Claypool, Keith (Beth) Claypool, Brad Claypool, John (Heather)
Claypool, Tammy J. (Justin) Bekish, Mark L. (Karla L.) Roeske, Darrell E.
(Michelle L.) Roeske, Robyn Roeske, Kelly R. Lawlor, Matthew Lawlor, Sarah
Lawlor, Bethany Lawlor; and one sister, Velma Esther Claypoole of Worthington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Otha Blair Shearer.
Funeral services took place in Indiana, Friday, March 1, 1996.
