Helen Marie Leard Kromer

Helen Marie Leard Kromer, 67, of  Grand PLaza Drive, Orange City, Florida died
December 13, 1991 at her home.
 
Born February 21, 1924, in Adrian, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of the
late James H. and Gladys M. (Skinner) Leard.
 
Helen was a 1941 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
 
A secondary School Teacher in Pennsylvania for 15 years, she and her husband
moved to Orange City in 1978 from Butler, Pa.
 
She was very active in church and community activities.
 
A member of Faith Evangelical  Church in DeLand, Florida, Mrs. Kromer was a
former member of Emmaus Lutheran Church of Orange City where her husband was the
mission developer and first pastor for 11 1/2 years.
 
She served as treasurer for the Florida Lutheran Retirement Center in DeLand for
10 years.
 
Survivors are her husband, the Rev. Robert Kromer; two daughters, Amy E. Cox, of
Central, S.C., and Beth S. Kromer of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a son, Robert Paul
Kromer of Royal Oak, Mich.; her mother, Gladys M. Leard of Chicora, Pa; two
brothers, Paul Edsel Leard of Columbus, Ohio, and Donald James Leard of Chicora;
two sisters, Ruby M. Leard of Butler and Lois Irene (Ronald) Smith of
Millersburg, Pa; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services were held today in Emmaus Lutheran Church, Orange City, Fl.

Burial will be in Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
