Russell Dale Saylor SR
Russell Dale Saylor Sr., 74, died April 5, 1996, at home in Charlotte, NC.
He was born February 15, 1922 in Worthington-West Franklin, Worthington, Pa, son
of the late James S. Saylor and Beulah A. (Blymiller) Saylor.
He was a 1940 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
He was retired from Emory Air Freight where he worked as a freight handler. He
was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. He was also a member of
American Legion Post 828 of Worthington, Pa., and a member of the 6th Field
Artillery Association.
Survivors include he wife, Mary E. Saylor of the home; two sons, Russell D.
Saylor Jr. of Lake Wylie, South Carolina and Millard James Saylor of Charlotte,
North Carolina; one brother, Floyd J. Saylor of Worthington, Pa.; two sisters,
Sarah A. Crawford of Worthington, Pa., and Joy Shankle of Worthington, Pa.; two
grandchildren, Jon Saylor and Heather Saylor of Lake Wylie, South Carolina.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m Monday at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church
conducted by the Rev. Claude J. Kayler. Visitation will be held at 2:30 p.m.
until the time of service at the church.
Interment will be in the River Hills Cemetery, Cherokee County, NC.
