James Kennedy Hindman

James Kennedy "Red" Hindman, 77, of Butler Road, Kittanning, Pa., died Tuesday,
May 16, 2000, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital (East Franklin Township),
Kittanning, Pa.

He was born June 11, 1922 in Craigsville (West Franklin Township), Pa., to Carr
S. and Laura Jane (McMillen) Hindman.

Mr. Hindman graduated in 1940 from Worthington-West Franklin High School,
Worthington, Pa.

He served in the 101st and the 16th Calvary Unit of the U.S. Army during World
War II.

Mr. Hindman worked as a salesman for Furniture World East for the past 27
years.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Kittanning, Pa.

Survivors include one daughter, Gerri M. Hindman of Butler Road, Kittanning;
twin sons, William E. Hindman and Frederick R. Hindman, both of Kittanning; his
fiancee, Jean Churchill of Kittanning; one brother, Elmer S. Hindman of
Worthington, Pa.; and one granddaughter, Sheena Hindman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margaret M. "Peg"
(McAllister) Hindman, April 23, 1984; three brothers, Frank L. Hindman, Geroge
Nelson Hindman and Paul Alexander Hindman; and one sister, Laura Ellen McCrea
Green.

James Kennedy "Red" Hindman, 77, of Butler Road, Kittanning, Pa., who died
Tuesday, May 16, 2000 will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, and 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home,
Inc., a Forethought Member, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa. Funeral services
will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 19, with the Rev. Dr. Daniel A. Stinson of
the First United Methodist Church, Kittanning, officiating.

Interment will be in the West Glade Run Cemetery, Kittanning, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be made to Orphans of the Storm, R.D. 8, Kittanning,
Pa.
