Margaret Jean Hawley Smith
Margaret "Jean" Hawley Smith, 75, of Alexandria, VA, died Wednesday, March 10,
1999, wife of the late Warren A. Smith, Sr.
Born in Armstrong County, Pa., November 6, 1925, the daughter of James M. and
Mary F. (Dreen) Hawley.
She was a 1940 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
She is survived by one daughter, Carole L. Gradieic; three sons, Eugene F.,
James S. and Warren A. Smith, Jr.; two sisters, Helen Geyer and Gladys Younkins;
seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Mary Pasterick; six
brothers, Francis "Frank" Hawley, Thomas Jennings Hawley, Stanley Hawley, John
Hawley, Simon Hawley and George Hawley.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at
Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd, Dale City, VA, where funeral services
will be held on Monday, March 15 beginning at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Howard Mayes,
officiating.
Internment will follow at Quantico Memorial Cemetery, Triangle, Va.
