Norma Marie Cooper Bowser
Norma Marie (Cooper) Bowser, 76, of RD 3, Kittanning, Pa. (East Franklin
Township), died Friday, June 25, 1999 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital,
East Franklin Township, Kittanning.
She was born December 1, 1922 in Yellow Dog (West-Franklin Township),
Worthington, Pa., to Orion E. and Ethel M. (Lewis) Cooper.
She graduated with the (Class of 1940), from Worthington-West Franklin High
School, Worthington, Pa.
She was a homemaker.
She was an active member of the Center Hill Church of the Brethren, where she
played the organ and sang in the choir.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ivan L. Bowser, whom she married on
June 13, 1946; two sons, Calvin Leroy Bowser and Timothy Lee Bowser, both of
Kittanning; two daughters, Mrs. David L. (Lorraine Sue) Beighley of Erie, Pa.,
and Mrs. Richard Douglas (Amy Lou) Sedwick of Chicora, Pa., nine grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dr. Charles Lewis Cooper of
Indiana, Pa., James Lovel Cooper of Garfield Heights, Ohio, and Harold Dean
Cooper of Kittanning; one sister Mary Lou Beattie of Ryan, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lucie I. Cooper; one
brother, Clyde L. Cooper.
Friends of Norma Marie (Cooper) Bowser, 76, of RD 3, Kittanning, Pa. (East
Franklin Township), who died Friday, June 25, 1999, will be received from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home, Inc., 253 N.
Grant Ave., Kittanning, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday
with the Rev. Victor S. Norris, officiating.
Interment will take place in the Center Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery,
Kittanning, Pa.
