Verna Joy Claypool Morgan
Verna Joy Claypoole Morgan, 84, of Worthington, died Wednesday, January 10,
2007, in Erdley's Sunnyside Personal Care Home.
She was born October 29, 1922, in Armstrong County, daughter of the late
Lawrence and Iva (Henderson) Claypool.
She was a 1940 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
She previously worked at Hiland Pharmacy.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Worthington, and was very
active in church organizations.
She loved sewing, quilting, cooking and baking.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert M. Morgan Sr.; daughters,
Barbara Manuel and husband, James, and Sally Guz, both of Kittanning; brother,
Robert M. Morgan Jr. and wife, Beth, of Tennessee; four grandchildren,
Christopher Manuel, Rebecca Bilott, Bethany Morgan and Brett Morgan; and a
great-granddaughter, Isabella Bilott.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William
and four sisters, Dora Snyder, Mabel, Hazel Adams and Betty Jean Ellison.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the F. DUANE
SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington. Additional viewing from 10 a.m. until the time
of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Worthington
with the Rev. Nola Eisenbrandt, church pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund at Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Worthington, Pa.
