Harry Sidney Claypool SR

Harry Sidney Claypool Sr.,81, of Mechanicsburg, Pa. died Monday, November 24,
2003 at Manor Care Health Services, Carlisle, Pa.

He was born November 10, 1922 in Craigsville to Harry O. and Eva M. (Forester)
Claypool.

He was a 1940 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

Mr. Claypool was a self-employed home builder and land developer in the
Harrisburg, Pa. area for more than 50 years. He was one of the founders of Jack
Gaughen Realty and MGM Coldwell Banker Realty. In 1958, he built the first
all-electric home in the Harrisburg area.

An Army veteran, he served during World War II.

He was a member of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland.

His other memberships included the National Home Builders Association, of which
he was a lifetime director; West Shore Lodge 681 F&AM; and Bethany Village,
where he was a past board member.

Survivors include his wife, Maybelle L. (Bundy) Claypool; one son, Harry
Claypool Jr. of Mechanicsburg; two daughters, Diane M. James of Florida and
Cathy I. Claypool of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Carl Raymond Claypool,
Oct. 10, 1985 and Dane O'Neil Claypool, Mar. 22, 1996.

Friends of Harry S. Claypool Sr., 81, of Mechanicsburg, who died Nov. 24, 2003,
will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at
Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland, Pa. with his pastor,
the Rev. Robert A. Graybill, officiating.

Burial, with military honors, will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill,
Pa.

The family requests memorial contributions may be made to Baughman Memorial
United Methodist Church, 228 Bridge St., New Cumberland, Pa. 17070.
