Jane Dravo Aiken Kyle Menzies

Jane Dravo Aiken Kyle Menzies, Grove City, died Wednesday, January 24, 2001, in
her home. She was 77.

Mrs. Menzies was born September 10, 1923, in Worthington, Pa., to Arthur and
Evelyn (White) Aiken.

She was a 1940 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

An alumna of Slippery Rock University; and Carnegie Tech, Pittsburgh, she earned
a master's degree from Westminster College, New Wilmington.

Mrs. Menzies was a retired special education teacher in Slippery Rock schools.
Retired Slippery Rock teacher was head of UCH volunteers

She was a past president of United Community Hospital (Pine Township)
Volunteers; and was a former member of the 99er's and flew in the Powder Puff
Derby, a cross-country race.

Mrs. Menzies was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints,
Slippery Rock.

Surviving are: her husband, Dr. William C. Menzies Jr., whom she married April
29, 1967; two sons, James H. Kyle, Maryland; and William C. Menzies III, Grove
City; three daughters, Linda L. Smith, Idaho; Kathryn A. Patterson, Jackson
Center; and Bonnie L. Menzies, Mercer; a brother, James Aiken, Florida; a
sister, Mrs. John (Stella) Waliga, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John M. Aiken.

Calling hours: Were 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday (1-25-01) and are 2 to 3:30 and 7 to
8:30 p.m. today (1-26-01) in FICCA FUNERAL HOME, 203 E. Pine St., Grove City.
Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday (1-27-01) in the funeral home, with
the Rev. Jean Gomola, associate pastor of Tower Presbyterian Church, Grove City;
and Dr. Robert Hinds of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Slippery
Rock, officiating.
        
Interment: Woodland Cemetery, Grove City, Pa.
