Bette Elizabeth Meanor Wallwork

Bette Elizabeth Meanor Wallwork, affectionately known as "Moggie", 92,
Punxsutawney, died Sunday, August 25, 2013, at home.

She was born June 28, 1921, in Adrian Township, Armstrong County, a daughter of
the late Amos and Ivy (Tarr) Croyle.

She was first married to John W. Meanor on July 31, 1937. He preceded her in
death on July 12, 2000. Her second marriage was to George Wallwork on June 5,
1982 who preceded her in death on August 12, 2000.

She attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, PA.

She was a manager on the second floor at Montgomery Ward from 1966-1976 and also
worked as a Fiscal Secretary at Jefferson Manor.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church for 74 years, Friends of the
Library, Historical Society, Theatre Arts Guild, the Grandmothers Club, and a
Deacon at the Church, a Sunday School Teacher, a Cub Scout Leader, and a Brownie
Leader.

Surviving relatives include four daughters, Joy Lynn Meanor of Sharon, PA, Betsy
J. Meanor of Sharon, PA, Cheryl Meanor Steffy and husband Craig of Edwardsville,
IL, and Pamela Meanor Boyer and husband David of Punxsutawney; a son John “Tim”
Meanor and wife Carol of Cumming, GA; a brother Richard Croyle and wife Evelyn;
Thirteen grandchildren, Seventeen Great-Grandchildren and Twelve Great-Great
Grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by nine
siblings including Jenny Campbell of Punxsutawney and a grandson Philip Boyer.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, August 28,
2013, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 29, 2013, at the
First Baptist Church of Punxsutawney with her grandson Reverend Donald J. Brash
officiating.

Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Wallwork, to the First
Baptist church of Punxsutawney.
