Sarah Irene Swigart Higgins
Sarah Irene Swigart Higgins, 77, of Worthington R.D. 2, died Thursday, February
11, 1999, at Sugar Creek Rest, near Worthington.
Born in Craigsville, Armstrong County, February 15, 1921, she was the daughter
of Milton and Laura B. (Wright) Swigart.
She was a 1939 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
Mrs. Higgins had worked at Moonlight Mushrooms.
She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Worthington.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Higgins; two sons, Richard G. Higgins of
Worthington and Daniel D. Higgins of Chambersburg, Pa.;one brother, Paul William
Swigart, Craigsville, Pa.; three sisters Emma May Grafton and
Doris Loretta Oliver, both of Butler, Pa., and Lilly B. Morrow of Fenelton, Pa.;
and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Abraham M. Swigart.
Friends of Irene S. Higgins, who died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, will be received
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 ;.m. today at F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 424 Bear St.,
Worthington. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the
Rev. Sue Irons, her church pastor, officiating.
Burial will be at Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery Worthington, Pa.
