William Robert Steele
William "Robert" Steele, 88, Midwest City, Okla., formerly of Wilburton & Red
Oak, Okla., died Sunday, November 30, 2008, in Midwest City Hospital.
Born September 22, 1920, in Worthington, the son of the late Carroll and Martha
B. (Snyder) Steele.
He was a 1939 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
He was a veteran of WWII, Korean and Vietnam, retiring from the Air Force after
30 years service.
He is survived by one son: Garey Joel Steele, Del City, Okla.; one daughter,
Roberta Lee Sutton, Midwest City, Okla.; And the mother of Garey and Roberta,
Mary (Hackworth-Steele) Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Anna Bernice Steele; one son,
Steven Steele; five brothers, James Lee Steele, Leslie C. Steele, Norman Keith
Steele, Richard K. Steele and Samuel R. Steele; two sisters, Eleanor Steele and
Margaret B. Lewis.
