Melda Mae Shearer Bricker

Melda Mae (Shearer) Bricker, 84, of Saxonburg died Saturday, June 18, 2005 at
Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 16, 1920 in Butler to Albert H. and Bessie (Ruffaner)
Shearer.

She was a 1939 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Allegheny Valley Baptist Church.

She was also a member of The Salvation Army Auxiliary and enjoyed crafts,
crocheting and baking.

Survivors include two sons, Richard C. Bricker and wife Joanne and Robert E.
Bricker and wife Bobbi, all of Cabot; two daughters, Rose Ann Livengood and
husband Cecil of Martinsburg, W.Va. and Carol L. Adams and husband David of
Hollidaysburg; one daughter-in-law, Suzanne K. Bricker of Middletown, Md.; 13
grandchildren, Bryan and Brent Bricker, Erin Smith, Andrea Brailey, Kyle
Bricker, Kimberly Ryner, Cary and Christopher Livengood, Douglass and Janelle
Adams, Lori Maly, Kurt Bricker and Audra Lucas; 12 great-grandchildren; three
brothers, John Shearer of Sebastian, Fla., Richard Shearer of Washington, and
Robert Shearer of Kittanning; one sister, Evyette Fair of Worthington; and
nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin Bricker, whom she
married June 24, 1939 and who died in 1988; one son, Albert L. Bricker, who died
in 1998; one grandson, Sgt. Brandon E. Adams, who died in 2004; four brothers,
Kenneth C, Vernon F, Alton L, and Albert H; and three sisters, S Annabel
Bouch-Lash, Ethel L Nichol and Doris A Cowan-Lash . 

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the F. Duane
Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington, where a funeral service will be
held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. William Hough, pastor of Allegheny Valley
Baptist Church, officiating. 

Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
