William Gibson Resinger JR

William Gibson  Resinger Jr., 74, of Lexington, Ky., died Friday, May 5, 1995,
at his residence after an extended illness.

Born, December 30, 1920, in Applewald Borough, Kittanning, Pa., the son of
William Gibson and Mamie Orvetta (Trudgen) Resinger.

He a 1939 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

He was a veteran of WW II serving (1942-1946) in England as an aerial
photographer with the 355th Fighter Group, 441st Air Service Group, 8th Air
Force.

After the War he attended the University of Arizona. Employment included Hughes
Aircraft Company, the National Park Rangers and later the University of Kentucky
Department of Community medicine from which he was retired.

He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Lexington.

Survivors include his wife, Margarita Miranda Resinger; two sons, Christopher D.
Resinger of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Allen Neal Resinger of Lexington; an
adopted daughter, Maria Luisa Hiatt of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Dr.
Harold Eugene "Jack" Resinger of Versailles, Ky., and Harry Duane Resinger of
Fort Worth, Tx.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and several
nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Gibson Resinger,
III.

Visitation will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at
Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Lexington. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday,
May 8, 1995 at St Paul Catholic Church, 501 West Short St., Lexington.

Burial in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Lexington, Ky.

Casketbearers will be James T. Resinger, David P. Resinger, Jack D.T. Resinger,
Allen N. Resinger, Duane H. Resinger, and Harry D. Resinger.
