Paul Edsel Leard

Paul Edsel Leard, 95, of Columbus, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Madison House in
London, Ohio. 

He was born February 23, 1922 in Furnace Run, PA to the late James and Gladys
(Skinner) Leard. 

Paul formerly lived in Columbus from 1957 to 2009, moving back in 2012 until his
time of passing.

He was a 1939 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. 

He was a contractor who did remodeling designs as well as a finishing carpenter.


Paul served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII where he was a Navigator
Instructor on B-17 and B-24 planes. 

He enjoyed reading, genealogy, American history, and spending time with family.


Left to cherish his memory: sons, Tom (Barbara) Leard, Carefree, AZ, Dennis
(Chris) Leard, Ricville, Iowa; daughters, Eileen (Larry) Hay, Clyde, OH, Judy
Cates, Columbus, Joyce Minor, Columbus; sons, Ray Leard, Columbus, Jerry Leard,
Columbus, Frank Leard, Sudbury, MA; daughters, Therese (Mark) Regan, Lancaster,
PA, Rita Leard Albuquerque, NM; son, Pat (Teresa) Leard Leonardtown, MD; sister,
Lois Leard Smith: many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. 

Preceded in death by wife Mary (Marino) Leard, who died in August, 1983, sisters
Ruby Leard, Helen Leard Kromer, brother Donald Leard. 

Friends will be received from 8-10 p.m. on  Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the F. DUANE
SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 119 Bear Street, Worthington, PA. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with
Rev. James Neal officiating. 

Interment will be in Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Paul's memory can be made to
Loving Care Hospice and Palliative Care, 56 S. Oak Street, P.O. Box 445, London,
Ohio 43140.
