Chalmer Leroy Gaiser
Chalmer Leroy "Lee" Gaiser, 87, of Prospect, Pa., passed away Sunday morning,
July 27, 2008, at Butler Memorial Hospital emergency room, Butler, Pa.
He was born August 19, 1920, in Worthington, and was the son of Earl D. and
Bessie C. (Hilliard) Gaiser.
He was a 1939 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
He was a retired engineer from the PennDot Department in Indiana, Pa.
He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Worthington.
He enjoyed camping, music and his pet dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (Hilliard) Gaiser, whom he married Dec. 9,
1976; one son, Douglas Leroy Gaiser and his wife, Susan I, of Kittaning, Pa.;
three daughters, Darlene Lea Moorhead, Patricia Leonard and Terry Emminger, all
originally from the Kittaning area; one stepson, Douglas Badger and his wife,
Ginger, of Long Beach, Calif.; one stepdaughter, JoNell K. Yard and her husband,
Douglas A, of Harrisville, Pa.; one sister, Laretta Mae Graham; and one favorite
niece, Tammy Lynn Fleeger, both of Worthington. He is also survived by a number
of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Everett Karl Gaiser on July 23, 2001,
and Marvel Edwin Gaiser Sr. on April 20, 1991, one sister, Thelma E. Pence and
one stepson.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Presbyterian Church of Prospect.
Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Prospect, Pa.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Butler Humane Society, 1015 Evans City
Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
