Russell Clark Claypool

Russell Clark Claypool, 77, of RD 1, Worthington (North Buffalo Township), Pa.
died Thursday August 19, 1999 at his residence.

He was born March 14, 1922 in North Buffalo Township to Clark Hobert Claypool
and Ada (Wilson) Claypool.

He was a 1939 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

Mr. Claypool was a lifetime farmer operating his family owned farm located on
the Worthington/Slate Lick Road.

He was a member of the Center Hill Church of the Brethren, where he served as
church deacon for many years.

His positions included past president of Armstrong County Chapter Pennsylvania
Farmers Association; past president of board of directors of Farmers National
Bank, Kittanning, Pa.; past treasure of Armstrong County Cooperative Extension
Association and past director of North Buffalo Township School Board for several
years.

Survivors include his wife, Cleo (Bowser) Claypool, whom he married on Oct. 6,
1948; one son, Jerry L. Claypool of RD 1, Worthington (North Buffalo Township);
one daughter, Kaydene Heilman of Atlanta, Ga., seven grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Claypool of Lexington, Ohio; one
sister, Mrs. Jack (Esther) McCormick of Natrona Heights; and several nieces and
nephews.

Friends of Russell Clark Claypool, 77, of RD 1, Worthington (North Buffalo
Township), Pa. who died August 19, 1999, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.
Friday, August 20, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, August 21, at the Bauer
Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa.

Funeral services will be held at the Center Hill Church of the Brethren at 2
p.m. Sunday, August 22, 1999, with his pastor, the Rev. Victor Norris,
officiating.

Interment will take place in the Center Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery,
Kittanning, Pa.
