Orie Norman Claypoole

Orie Norman Claypoole, 52, of 210 Residential Ave., Kittanning, was dead on
arrival at 12:08 a.m. this morning, Monday, November 29, 1971, in the Armstrong
County Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Born September 23, 1919 in West Franklin Township, he was the son of Thomas and
Ella Belle (Hamilton) Claypoole.

He graduated in 1939 from Worthington-West Franklin High School and in 1948 from
Robert Morris College.

He was a member of the Franklin Union Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II
having served in Asiatic and Pacific Theaters, and with United States Occupation
Forces in Japan.

A former employee of Pittsburgh Plate Glass Industries, he was presently
employed by H. M. Pollock Company at Kittanning. 

He was a Veterans of Foreign Wars at Kittanning.

Surviving are his wife, Caroline (Herr) Claypoole; two brothers, Edwin William
Claypoole of Kittanning and Walter Hamilton Claypoole of Kittanning R.D. 3; a
sister, Mrs. Elmer A. (Annabelle) Snyder of Cowansville.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Thomas Jr.

Friends of Orie Norman Claypoole, who died, Nov. 29, 1971, will be received at
the James A. Flick Funeral Home, Worthington. Visitation hours are 7 to 9 p.m.
today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday from
the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Dick, pastor of Franklin Union
Baptist Church.

Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
