William Donald Turberville

William Donald Turberville, 73, of Worthington R.D. 1, died Wednesday, October
9, 1991, at his residence.

Born April 17, 1919, in Worthington, he was the son of Joseph and Goldie
(Reeseman) Turberville.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

He was retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation where he had
been employed as a welder. He was co-owner, with his son, of Turberville
Welding.

Mr. Turberville served as a paratrooper from 1941 to 1945 with the U.S. Army
during World War II.  He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was a prisoner of
war.

He had been a member of Grandview Chapel near Kittanning.

Surviving are a son, Daniel Kay Turberville of Worthington; a daughter, Mrs.
Jeffrey (Donna Mae) Campbell of Indiana; an adopted son, Edward J. Turberville
of Worthington; a foster son, Richard Wiser of Indiana; a brother, Joseph
Turberville of Worthington R.D. 1; a sister, Mrs. Walter A. (Margaret) Yockey of
Worthington R.D. 2; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mae (Turner) Turberville, who died in
1989; a son, William and two sisters, Ida Turberville and Helen Kirkwood.

Friends of William D. Turberville of Worthington R.D. 1, who died Wednesday, Oct
9, 1991, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the F. Duane
Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington. Funeral services will be conducted at 11
a.m. Saturday from the funeral home with the Rev. Henry Clay Shilling
officiating. 

Burial will be in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
