Jean Beatrice Shaner James

Jean Beatrice Shaner James, 73, of 199 Srader Grove Road, Freeport, died at 7:30
p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 1993, at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona
Heights.

Born May 11, 1919, in Worthington, she was the daughter of Charles and Lillian
(Krider) Shaner.

She attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

Mrs. James was a member of the Srader Grove United Presbyterian Chnurch in South
Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. She also belonged to the ladies auxiliary of
the Freeport Eagles Lodge.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda James and Mrs. Edwin (Tammy) Spangler, both
of South Buffalo Township; two sons, Larry Thomas James of Harwick and Theodore
R. James of South Buffalo Township; a half brother, Jack Shaner of South Buffalo
Township; a half sister, Mrs. Robert (Lugene) Young, also of South Buffalo
Township; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Theodore M.,
sisters Margaret E. Morrison and Luella M. Duncan, half brother Jack C. and half
sister Lugene S. Young.

Friends of Jean B. James of 199 Srader Grove Road, Freeport, who died Tuesday,
Feb. 9, 1993, will be received at the Redmond Funeral Home, Sixth and High
Streets, Freeport, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will
be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday from the funeral home with the Rev. Leah
Austin, pastor of Srader Grove United Presbyterian Church, officiating. 

The Freeport Eagles Ladies Auxillary will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m.
Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.

Memorial donations may be made to the Srader Grove Presbyterian Church.
