Vivien Acye Schrecengost Slease

Vivien Acye Schrecengost Slease, 90, of Kittanning, died Tuesday, October 19,
2010, at Butler Memorial Hospital. 

she was born October 6, 1920, in Manor Township, a daughter of the late David
and Drucy (Beers) Schrecengost.

A 1938 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa. 

She was a member of the Kittanning Church of God and enjoyed knitting,
crocheting and sewing. She worked at Batam Car Plant in Butler during World War
II, Hetrick, then Spic and Span Dry Cleaners, in Kittanning, Harry's Pizza Shop
and she was the cook for the sisters of St. Joseph Convent in Kittanning. She
was a Greenthumb employee throughout the county, Macado and the American Cancer
Society. 

Survivors include her sons, Barry (Judy) Slease, of West Sunbury, and N. Dean
(Wendy) Slease, of Rimersburg; grandchildren, Traci, Lori and Jacob Slease and
Joshua McKay; three great-granddaughters; and a brother, Everett "Bud" (Betty)
Schrecengost. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward S.
Slease, in 1997; and sister, Mildred Clark. 

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the KENNEDY &
BLODGETT FUNERAL HOME in Kittanning. Services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral
home with the Rev. Robert Grimm. 

Interment in Kittanning Cemetery, Kittanning, Pa.
