Frank Joseph Peterson
Frank Joseph Peterson, 71, of 323 1/2 Longfellow St., Vandergrift, Pa., died
Sunday, March 31, 1991 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights (Harrison
Township), Pa.
He was born August 25, 1919, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Paul and
Pauline (Tirpak) Peterson.
He grew up in Buffalo Valley (Worthington area), and graduated with the class of
1938 from Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
Mr. Peterson spent most of his adult life living in Vandergrift, where he was a
member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Vandergrift, Pa.
He had been an auto body repairman for Greenwalt Motors in New Kensington, Pa.
Survivors in include his wife, Rose (Milami) Peterson; two daughters, Mrs.
Arthur P. (Donna J.) Sheehan of West Haven, Conn., and Mrs Anthony S. (Linda E.)
Massarri of Vandergrift, Pa.; four grandchildren; four brothers, John Peterson
of Bessemer, Joseph J. (Barbara) Peterson of Midland, Ga., George V. (Wanda)
Peterson of Beaver, Pa., and Thomas P. (Katherine) Peterson of Ford City, Pa.;
and two sisters, Mrs. Vinko (Mary) Kolar of Girard, Ohio, and Mrs. Theodore
(Frances) Bono of New Castle, Pa.
Friends will be received Tuesday, April 2, 1991, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in
the Dunmire-Kerr Funeral Home, 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, Pa. Christian
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 3, at 10 a.m. in St. Gertrude
Church, Vandergrift, Pa.
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, Pa.
