Phyllis Mae Pence Dougherty

Phyllis Mae Pence Dougherty, 49, of Worthington died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday,
April 9, 1969, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning, after a
lingering illness.

Mrs. Dougherty was born February 6, 1920 in New Bethlehem, a daughter of Raymond
H. and Golda E. (Smith) Pence.

A 1938 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa. 

She was a member of Worthington United Presbyterian Church. Worthington
Firemens's Auxiliary, Worthington American Legion Auxiliary, and Lady Craig
Rebekah Lodge of Craigsville.

Surviving are a son, Walter H. Dougherty of Kittanning RD 7; two daughters, Mrs
Norman (Barbara) Mauthe Jr. of Wilmington, Del., and Mrs. David (Nancy) Hidinger
of Worthington; a brother, Walter C. Pence of Worthington; and 10
grandchildren.

Her husband, Harold S. Dougherty, died in 1966, and a daughter, Gloria Geraldine
Turney, died in 1963.

Friends of Phyllis M. Dougherty of Worthington, who died April 9, 1969, may call
from 7-9 this evening and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the James A Flick Funeral
Home, Worthington, where services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev.
Donald Lumeree, pastor of Worthington First Baptist Church. 

Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
