Ruby Mae Leard
Ruby Mae Leard, 79, of Chicora Medical Center, formerly of Andrews Drive, died
Friday, August 6, 1999, at Chicora Medical Center
Born June 27, 1920, in Adrian, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of the
late James and Gladys (Skinner) Leard.
Ms. Leard worked for more than 25 years as the business manager of Camp
Lutherlyn. The business office was dedicated to her at her retirement in 1990.
A 1938 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was very active in all
phases of all the programs.
Surviving are two brothers, Paul Leard of Columbus, Ohio, and Donald Leard of
Chicora; a sister, Mrs Ronald (Lois) Smith of Millersburg; and several nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Kromer.
Friends of Ruby M. Leard, who died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, will be received from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Streighner Funeral Home, Chicora. Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Trintiy Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset
Dr., with the Rev. Thomas Pierotti, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be at Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
