Carrie Louise Graff Thompson Henderson

Carrie Louise Graff Thompson Henderson, 83, of 221 Glade Park East, Kittanning
(East Franklin Township) died Friday, November 12, 2004 at Concordia Lutheran
Home, Cabot. 

The daughter of Dr. James Brown Graff and Helen B. (Wertz) Graff, she was born
June 18, 1921 in Johnstown. 

Carrie Louise grew up in Worthington along with her brother, James B. Graff, who
now lives in Fairfield. 

She graduated from Worthington High School in 1938 and then attended Thiel
College. 

She married Harold Thompson in 1950 and they had two daughters, Helen T. Clowes
of Sarver and Jane T. Geurtsen of Alexandria, Va. She was remarried in 1957 to
Frank B. Henderson and together they had two children, Sally F. Henderson of
Arlington, Texas and Edmund G. Henderson of Rural Valley. 

She reared her family and lived in Worthington most of her life before moving to
Kittanning in 1998. 

Through the years, she served on the Board of Directors of Merchants National
Bank. She was a member and generous contributor of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church of Worthington, which was founded by her great-grandfather Peter Graff in
1847. 

Six grandchildren complete her family circle, Rebecca Berg, Jeremy Henderson,
Dustin Henderson, Kylie Henderson, Dylan Henderson and Colton Henderson; and two
great-grandchildren, Carrie Berg and Collin Berg. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Harold Thompson;
and her second husband, Frank B. Henderson who died Aug. 3, 1984. 

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at Bauer Funeral
Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.
Monday at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Worthington with Pastor Jack Hartman
officiating. 

Burial will be in Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa. 

The family requests memorial contributions to the Richard Laube Cancer Center,
One Nolte Drive, Kittanning, Pa. 16201 and Orphans of the Storm, 111878 State
Route 85, Kittanning, Pa 16201.
