Francis Albert Anthony

Francis Albert Anthony, 65, of 619R Fourth Ave., Ford City, died Sunday, August
19, 1984 at St Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born April 17, 1919, in West Franklin Township, he was the son of Chart Ezra and
Helen Dora (Bowser) Anthony.

A 1938 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

He was a lifelong resident of this area. He was retired from the Pennsylvania
Department of Highways. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the
94th Division of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Alliance Church of
Kittanning.

He is survived by his wife, Flossie (Walker) Anthony; three brothers, Walter of
Fenelton, Norman of Craigsville and Glenn of Worthington; four sisters, Mrs.
Dale (Alice) Miller of Butler, Mrs. Erwin (Jane) Bowser of Worthington, Mrs.
Robert (Helen) Leiner of Seminole, Fla. and Mrs. Charles (Leona) Shearer of
Memphis, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1960; his mother in 1983; one brother,
Victor, in 1983; and one sister, Mrs. Niles (Hazel) Hawk in 1973.

Friends of Francis Albert Anthony, 65, of 619R Fourth Ave., Ford City, who died
Sunday, August 19, 1984, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the
Mantini Funeral Home, Ford City, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Alliance
Church, Kittanning, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the
Rev. Paul Jacobson, pastor, officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Center Hill Cemetery, Kittanning, Pa.
