Stella Louise Aiken Waliga

Stella Louise Aiken Waliga, 92, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away on July 8,
2014. 

She was born, September 19, 1921, near New Castle, in Wampum, PA and was a
resident of Cuyahoga Falls for 66 years.  She was a daughter  of Arthur L. and
Evelyn (White) Aiken.

She was a 1938 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

Stella was also a graduate of KSU, in Library Science, working in the Cuyahoga
Falls and Northampton schools before joining her husband in the family business,
Kee's Pharmacy.

Stella is fondly remembered by friends and family as a caring and giving person,
amateur naturalist and geologist who treasured the beautiful parks in our area.

She is survived by her children, Sylvia Waliga of New York City, NY, Martha
(Thomas) Matlock of Richfield, Jay (Margie) Waliga of Tallmadge and George (Pat)
Waliga of Brimfield. She also leaves her grandchildren Clarissa (Michael)
Wiener, Rebecca Waliga, Alex Waliga (in memory), Beverly Waliga, Laura Matlock
and Elizabeth Matlock. Also her cherished great-grandchildren, Olivia, Justine,
Madeline, Emma Grace, Avalyn, and Hunter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Waliga; siblings John Aiken,
infant Joseph Aiken, Jane Kyle Menzies and James Aiken. 

Visitation will be held Friday, July 11 from 4-7 pm at the Clifford-Shoemaker
Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, where a memorial service will be
held on Saturday, July 12 at 10:00 am, Rev. Kirk Bruce officiating.

Final resting place will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville,
Oh.
