Frank Ervin Livengood

Frank Ervin Livengood, 91, of South Buffalo Township, passed away peacefully
Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Armstrong County Health Center, Kittanning. 

Frank was born August 3, 1918, in Kittanning, the son of the late Ervin M. and
Nancy E. (Claypool) Livengood.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa. 

Frank had sold John Deere equipment for McCullough Equipment in Kittanning and
for Hindman Equipment in Butler for many years. After retiring from the
equipment sales business, Frank went to work in sales for Woodsman of the World
Life Insurance company. 

He enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting and spending winters in Florida. 

Frank is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia O. (Bowser) Livengood; his
daughter, Nancy (Donald) DeVore, of South Buffalo Township; two grandsons, Van
(Dawn) Vasbinder, of Clover, S.C., and Donald (Lisa) DeVore, of Ford City; and
five great-grandchildren. 

Frank is preceded in death by his brother, Ivan Livengood; and his sister, Myra
E. Livengood. 

Family and friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the
REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport. Additional visitation will be
held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in
Union Baptist Church, Slate Lick - Cadogan Road, Kittanning, with the Rev.
Jonathan Hill officiating. 

Burial will be held in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
