Richard Allison Simmers
Richard Allison Simmers, died June 16, 1949, in Erie, Pa. He was aged 33 years,
three months and nine days.
He was born March 7, 1916, at Craigsville, the son of of Jesse C. and Francis M.
(Kryder) Simmers
He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret (Baker) Simmers; one son, Gary Richard
Simmers, at home; his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Madelyn R. McMillen of
Craigsville and Mary Rita Simmers, at home; one brother, Jesse Clinton Simmers,
Kittanning, Pa.; and his grandmother, Mrs. William Simmers of Worthington.
Mr. Simmers was a veteran of World War II.
Friends are being received in the Walker Funeral Home in Worthington, Pa., where
funeral services in charge of Rev. A. S. Smith pastor of the Lutheran Church,
will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Military rites in charge of James Arthur Ashe Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars
will be held in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
