William Roy Baker

William Roy Baker, of Olympia, Wa.,  passed away November, 19, 1984 at St Peter
Hospital.

Born in Craigsville, Pa., on May 20, 1917, a son of William John and Dora May
(Swigart) Baker and moved to Olympia in 1939.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

William married Julia Pryde in 1962 in Olympia.

He owned and operated Baker's Shell Service Station until retirement in 1979.

He was member of Knights of Pythias, Olympia, Affifi Temple of the Shrine,
Tacoma, First United Methodist Church, Olympia, Harmony Lodge No. 18, F&AM and
past exalted ruler of Olympia Elks Lodge No. 186.

Survivors include his wife, Julia,/Olympia, one son James A. Pryde/Olympia, one
daughter Elizabeth L./New York City, two stepsons, John D. Young/Olympia,
William C. Young/Seattle, one brother John E./Titusville, Fl., also one
step-grandaughter.

He was predeceased by his parents.

At Mr. Baker's request there will be no funeral service.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Helping Hurts Fund at
First United Methodist Church, Olympia or the American Cancer Society.
